Ceramic window tint

Top-tier ceramic film is the only chemistry we install. It blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, safeguarding both your interior and your skin from sun exposure, and rejects a meaningful share of infrared heat so the cabin stays measurably cooler on a drive. Unlike conventional dyed and carbon films, ceramic holds its color and appearance over the life of the vehicle — no purple shift, no fade — and reduces glare without distorting visibility.

Cecil’s Auto Solutions installs the highest-quality ceramic film on the market. We source it exclusively from GeoShield.

What ceramic film actually does

UV exposure does three things to a vehicle: it ages your skin on the drive, it bakes the dashboard until plastics crack, and it leaches color out of leather and cloth. A standard dyed film slows the visual fade and adds privacy, but lets the heat right through. Ceramic film is the upgrade — it blocks 99% of UV and a meaningful share of infrared, so the cabin stays cooler and the AC works less.

The visual upgrade is real too. We source GeoShield exclusively, which removes the blue cast standard glass adds and runs clean at angle — no purple shift, no haze when the sun is low.

The four reasons people tint

High-end UV rejection

UV is what makes a cabin punishingly hot, fades your dash and door cards, and cracks leather over a single Indiana summer. Ceramic film rejects it cleanly — your interior stays looking new years longer than it would behind bare glass.

Privacy and security

Ceramic film carries the least angle haze of any tint chemistry made. From the outside it reads private; from the inside it stays clear at angle and at night. There is a rumor that good film looks completely transparent — that is not the case, but it is dramatically clearer than the dyed and carbon budget films most shops install.

Comfort and temperature

Ceramic rejects up to 99% of harmful infrared and UV rays. The cabin runs measurably cooler on a drive, and the late-summer-evening sun that burns through the side glass on the way home stops being a problem. The AC runs less, which the rest of the car notices too.

Enhanced appearance

Tint replaces the blue hue glass gives off with a deep, even finish — a sleek, modern look that cleans up a vehicle’s lines from the curb. On most platforms it is the single highest-impact aesthetic change for the cost.

The install

The work is bottom-loaded with a two-stage cut. Glass is cleaned twice, dried, and the film is applied in a controlled bay with the doors closed to keep dust off the adhesive.

  1. Vehicle preparation — masking, cleaning, and bay control.
  2. Precision cutting — pattern cut to factory glass dimensions.
  3. Tint film application — bottom-loaded, two-stage adhesion.
  4. Drying and curing — full cure window is 14 days; do not roll windows down for the first 3 days.
  5. Final inspection — checked for clarity, edges, and seal.

Indiana tint law

All side and rear windows can carry 30% film. The windshield can be filmed down to the AS-1 line. Medical exemptions are available with documentation — we can walk you through the paperwork.

The lifetime warranty

GeoShield ceramic film is warranted for the life of the vehicle, with the original owner, against bubbling, peeling, and color shift. If anything fails, the install is redone at no charge.

How the window tinting runs

Step by step, measured at every stage.

  1. 01

    Vehicle preparation.

Door seals are cleaned and taped, dust pulled out of the bay, glass scrubbed twice. Contamination starts at the seal edge — we kill it before the film comes out of the roll.

  2. 02

    Precision cutting.

Pattern cut to the factory glass dimensions for your exact platform. Each vehicle has its own seal geometry; we cut for the one we're actually working on, not a generic template.

  3. 03

    Tint film application.

Bottom-loaded with a two-stage adhesion process. The combination is what gets a factory-clean edge — no light gap, no peeling at the trim.

  4. 04

    Drying and curing.

Heat-sealed at the edges to speed the bond. Full cure runs 14 days; do not roll the windows down for the first three so the adhesive sets without lift.

  5. 05

    Final inspection.

Every panel checked under shop lights. Anything short of premium gets pulled and redone before the car leaves the bay. We're looking for dust, edge gaps, and clarity defects.
